Development of the St. Martin production site
After a number of successful years at the Linz site, production reached the limits of its capacity, and in 1971 a new 2,000 m² production hall was built just outside Linz in Sankt Martin im Mühlkreis. The market town falls within the district of Rohrbach and lies nestled between the Bohemian Forest and the Danube, which marks the boundary separating the community from the low foothills of the Alps and the greater Linz area. HAUSER is one of the largest employers in the region, along with Strasser Steine GmbH and the construction company Gebrüder Lang. Our Mühlviertel site has been expanded and rebuilt several times over the years to cover an area of 15,000 m² at last count in 2012. Today, our Technical Development department and our Distribution and Plant Engineering department are located in our Austrian production facility. In addition to research and development, refrigerated counters, interconnected systems and e-distributors are manufactured here. Since 2019, the St. Martin site has housed the new TECH-CENTER, the pioneering in-house development and testing centre for our products, as well as modern offices and staff facilities.
