It beginz in Linz!
The Upper Austrian city of Linz is the origin and starting point for the HAUSER Group. In 1946, the year HAUSER was founded, Linz was known as a dusty steel town, a reputation it owed to the city’ s largest employer, the steelworks of the present-day Voestalpine AG. Fairly quickly, however, an economic upswing heralded the beginning of a new era, and the city was able to successively establish a new image as a city of culture by improving its environmental protection standards and launching numerous initiatives in the cultural sector (Linzer Klangwolke, Ars Electronica Festival). Linz also lent its name to the Linzer torte, the recipe for which is believed to be the oldest known cake recipe in the world and which is still a popular souvenir for visitors today.
Linz is also the ideal location for our company. The HAUSER headquarters are still located at the original site, having been expanded several times over the years, and now employ around 250 people. In addition to our Management team, the majority of the Austrian Sales team as well as the Service & Engineering team, the Materials Management department, Accounting & Controlling, Marketing and the IT department and the central Human Resources department can be found here.
