The path to our current logo
In 1946, Rudolf Hauser founded his company of the same name for refrigeration systems, but what he still needed was a distinctive logo. He chose a penguin on an ice floe – a suitable mascot for a company that specialises in cooling. The company’s first officially registered logo (from 1950) featured this animal, which has since remained HAUSER’s trademark symbol. Over the years, our logo has undergone a number of transformations. The penguin became more stylised and the ice floe disappeared altogether.
In 1981, Dr Erwin Hauser took over as the company’s managing director. In line with that year’s strategic reorientation, a tagline was also formulated to go with the logo. As most of our customers at the time were located in the German-speaking world, it read “So kühl. So schön.” In 1996, HAUSER stepped up its expansion throughout Europe. To do more justice to the rise in internationalism, the slogan was translated into English: “So cool. So beautiful.”
Since 2016, HAUSER has positioned itself as a partner for individual solutions in food retail and industrial applications: the logo was modernised, the font and the penguin were slimmed down and the current tagline “Freshness. Our focus.” was established.
